As for you, be calm and cool and steady, accept and suffer unflinchingly every hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fully perform all the duties of your ministry. For I am already about to be sacrificed [my life is about to be poured out as a drink offering]; the time of my [spirit’s] release [from the body] is at hand and I will soon go free. I have fought the good (worthy, honorable, and noble) fight, I have finished the race, I have kept (firmly held) the faith. [As to what remains] henceforth there is laid up for me the [victor’s] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that [great] day–and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved and yearned for and welcomed His appearing (His return).
2 Timothy 4:5-8 AMPC
- WATCH OUT FOR: Spiritual robbers, assailants, assassins, and distractors are all over in different shades and forms John:10:10
- PROTECT and DEFEND: Protect and fight for your faith as much as it depends on you, depending on God
- ENDURE: Trials are not meant to kill you but to sift and strengthen you
🔴 Father, thank you for my salvation and redemption, please help me to keep my faith and fight for it whenever and wherever it is necessary and finally help me to the end that I may also be able to declare like Paul, ” I have fought the good (worthy, honorable, and noble) fight, I have finished the race, I have kept (firmly held) the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
It is not enough to start anything; the end is much more important. Strive to have a better end. __ Damola Treasure Okenla
